Salena Gomez's revival world tour proceeds will be donated to Lupus research

Salena Gomez is getting treatment of Lupus symptoms in rehab and among much speculation regarding when she will make her way out of the facility, new report has claimed that the singer will be donating her Revival World Tour earnings to research for the illness.

According to media reports Salena Gomez’s rep has confirmed prior to the start of her tour that proceed from the tickets would go to the Alliance for Lupus Research.

“Based in New York, ALR is a national voluntary health organization whose mission is to find better treatments and ultimately prevent lupus. Gomez’s camp says ALR was selected because of its broad reach. Gomez revealed her lupus diagnosis in a 2015 Billboard cover story,” Billboard magazine explained to readers.

In 2013, Selena Gomez cancelled parts of her Stars Dance Tour and was accused of secretly entering a rehab to address potential drugs addiction. As Salena revealed her struggles with lupus and rumors of her alleged drug use vanished.

“I was diagnosed with [autoimmune disease] Lupus, and I’ve been through chemotherapy. That’s what my break was really about. I could’ve had a stroke,” she revealed to Billboard magazine in 2015.

With she came clean about her struggles with the illness, rumors swirl regarding Salena’s possible reunion with Justin Bieber in late 2015. They were photographed together in Beverly Hills.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber dated from 2010 until 2012 and have been spotted together every so often in the years since.

Following Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s outing at the end of last year, Bieber embarked on a months-long romance with Hailey Baldwin but eventually re-sparked rumors of a rekindled romance with Gomez when he shared a throwback photo of the two of them together in a swimming pool. In the caption, Justin Bieber wrote, “Feels,” and shortly thereafter, Selena Gomez wrote, “Perfect” in the comments section of the post.
